About Julie
Oehmke
Julie Oehmke has been involved with animals
throughout her life. In her quest to understand the canine
mind and body, she has taken animal care and health beyond
normal pet ownership. Pet Wellness Is a lifestyle for Julie
not merely a fad or trend.
Julie
has been an owner/handler of show dogs on and off for 26
years. Several of her dogs have achieved championship
status. Julie is a veteran in the obedience ring as well as
on the agility course. Julie volunteered as an obedience
instructor for Williamson County 4H for a number of years.
Raising champions has created an
understanding of nutrition and balance for Julie. She is
devoted to understanding breed requirements for nutrition
and makes every effort to keep updated on available organic
and raw food diets for both canine and feline.
Julie has first hand experience when it come
to holistic health for animals. Her 15 year old Schnauzer,
Kaiser, has benefited greatly from magnetic therapy. Last
year Kaiser was failing, he had lost 80% of his mobility.
When others had given up on him, Julie decided to try
Magnetic Therapy. Today Kaiser is walking, doing stairs and
enjoying his senior years as a result of the therapy.
Julie is involved with Therapy Arc, a
volunteer program that requires constant skill and aptitude
of a dog-handler team for therapy visits with the elderly.
Julie also considers the pet’s spiritual and
emotional state as part of total wellness. She is
knowledgeable in gemstone and crystal healing and
responsible for the amulets and special collar accessories
at the store.
Pet Massage is NOT a replacement for proper
veterinary treatment. Any injured or ill dog must be treated by
a veterinarian prior to the initiation of a massage program.
